Measurement of Carbon Dioxide Adsorption in Amino Samples by Thermogravimetric Analyzer

Share:

Thermogravimetric analyzer, as an important material analysis instrument, can measure the relationship between the mass of a substance and temperature or time under program-controlled temperature. Based on this, the aim of this experiment is to use a thermogravimetric analyzer to accurately measure the adsorption performance of amino samples for carbon dioxide, explore the relevant characteristics during the adsorption process in depth, provide key experimental data and theoretical basis for the development of more efficient carbon dioxide capture materials and technologies, assist in achieving carbon emission reduction goals, and provide effective auxiliary functions to alleviate the greenhouse effect.

4. Graph data analysis:

Amino materials usually have strong hygroscopicity, and there will be a certain amount of moisture in the sample without drying treatment. Therefore, when conducting carbon dioxide adsorption experiments on amino samples, it is necessary to dry the sample first, remove the moisture, and then conduct the adsorption experiment. As shown in the above figure, the weight loss after heating to 100 ℃ and holding at a constant temperature for 20 minutes is the weight loss of water. After the weight loss equilibrium, the temperature is lowered to 60 ℃ and held at a constant temperature, and the process of adsorbing CO ₂ is observed in real time; The adsorption experiment at a constant temperature of 60 ℃ was conducted to study the physical adsorption kinetics and equilibrium adsorption capacity. After 30 minutes of constant temperature, the amino sample began to rapidly adsorb CO ₂, gradually reaching adsorption equilibrium after 8 minutes. The CO ₂ adsorption capacity was 9.45%, and the weight gain was 3.47mg.

2、 Conclusion of the experiment

In practical applications, pilot experiments and industrial demonstrations will be conducted to verify the feasibility and stability of amino samples in actual industrial production, providing practical basis for their large-scale application. Transforming laboratory research results into actual productivity, promoting the industrialization process of carbon dioxide capture technology, and assisting in the achievement of carbon reduction targets. At the same time, we will strengthen the integration with other carbon dioxide treatment technologies, such as membrane separation technology and catalytic conversion technology, to form a comprehensive carbon dioxide treatment plan, further improve the efficiency of carbon dioxide capture and utilization, and contribute to addressing climate change and protecting ecosystems.
