Introduction
DZDR-AS is a newly launched thermal conductivity tester by Nanjing Dazhan Instrument. Utilizing the transient heat source method, it boasts fast measurement speed, capable of calculating the thermal conductivity within 160 seconds. Additionally, it automatically adjusts the benchmark and power, significantly enhancing experimental efficiency. Furthermore, it offers a wide measurement range, with no restrictions on the shape of the tested sample. It features a bidirectional operating system and a color touch screen for operation.
A thermal conductivity tester is an analytical instrument used to measure the thermal conductivity of materials. Its testing principle is based on the transient plane heat source method, utilizing the one-dimensional unsteady-state heat conduction principle in a plane: In an infinitely large medium, a plane heat source, initially in thermal equilibrium, generates a dynamic temperature field within the medium after being subjected to an instantaneous heating pulse. By utilizing temperature data generated during the heat conduction process, a function curve is fitted, and the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of the sample are calculated. During testing, a constant direct current is applied to the heat source, causing a temperature rise on its surface and an increase in resistance, which disrupts the balance of the bridge test system and results in potential changes. Through the changes in electrical parameters, a function representing the temperature increment as a function of time is derived.
The DZDR-AS thermal conductivity tester has a wide measurement range and does not have special requirements for the morphology of the materials being tested, as long as the surface is smooth and flat. This includes: block solids, metals, liquids, powders, colloids, pastes, films, insulation materials, alloys, ores, polymers, and foam materials.
